p><strong><span>Tri-State Trails</span></strong><span>’ mission is to con
nect people and places with a regional trail and bikeway network that enh
ances vibrancy and equity in the community. Tri-State Trails was organize
d in 2012 when Green Umbrella\, Greater Cincinnati’s climate collaborativ
e\, convened partners from around the area to craft a connected vision fo
r a fragmented regional trail network. Those initial discussions revealed
how much interest there is to link communities with trails and bikeways.
With support from Interact for Health\, they prepared a nine-county Regi
onal Trails Plan in 2014 and hired their first full-time team member in 2
 015. Since then\, Tri-State Trails has grown to become the leading advoca
cy organization for active transportation issues in Greater Cincinnati.</
