About the exhibition:

In a digital age when maintaining identit y and creative property is paramount\, the exhibition Black &\; Br own Faces: VERIFIED presents works that aim to educate and celebrate the overall impact of Black &\; Brown culture in Entertainment\, Heal th &\; Science\, Beauty &\; Fashion\, and Food &\; Agriculture o n a global scale. This year’s exhibition presents the work of 15 accompli shed artists of color from across the Midwest\, showcasing their unique p erspectives on the immense influence of Black &\; Brown culture.

Simultaneously\, the works in this multimedia exhibition reflect the m akers’ concepts of being verified as an originator in a society where art ists of color have historically struggled to maintain ownership of intell ectual and creative property. VERIFIED asks artists and visitors alike\, "How can innovators benefit from the widespread adoption—on a na tional or international scale—of their individual ideas?"
