Art for Life ensures the museum experience is accessible to all.

The Cincinnati Art Museum offers partnership opportunities for specific areas of geographic focus. By forming long-term relationships with communities, the Art Museum inspires people to connect with art on their own terms. Art for Life programs include lectures, workshops, tours, summer camps, hands-on art making activities, serving to engage different audiences in meaningful learning.

Recent Art for Life Projects

Art for Life completed a new series of programs with Breakthrough, a non-profit organization serving high-achieving, but also high-risk students. These programs have been filled to capacity and have allowed us to share our collection with a new and unique audience. These workshops served sixty-two students and employed two professional teaching artists.

Art for Life also partnered with the Mason Arts Alliance to provide scholarships for children in need to attend Cincinnati Art Museum camps in Mason over the summer. Camps were filled with a diverse group of scholarship and non-scholarship participants. These camps served a total of fifty-two participants, including twenty-three scholarship recipients.

Art for Life is looking forward to new curriculum and program development in partnership with The Music and Wellness Coalition of Cincinnati. We will be implementing the programs and curriculum with a small group of Burundi immigrants this spring and hope to expand the program with time. Immigrants present a unique population and a new way to work with the collection as we help prepare students for their citizenship test through the study and exploration of the collection at the Cincinnati Art Museum.
