Here at the Cincinnati Art Museum, we are home to the Alice Bimel Courtyard, which provides unique scenery for our weddings. The courtyard is well kept with lush greenery and architecture that provides a mix of contemporary and traditional flare. On a typical wedding day, this space is used for ceremonies with the celebration continuing indoors in our Great Hall. However, on September 18, 2021, Elayna Berry and Preston Franklin decided to take full advantage of this outdoor space and spend their evening hosting their reception in our courtyard. It made for excellent scenery as their guests enjoyed dinner with the sun slowly setting around them throughout the night. With the sun fully set by the time the dance floor opened, it made for the perfect environment for an energetic dance floor that the wedding party gladly joined in on. The evening that Elayna and Preston hosted here was a beautiful representation of the love they share not only for each other, but also their family and friends they were surrounded by on their special day.
