Art After Dark | Japan at CAM

Friday, September 25, 2026, 5–9 p.m.

Free. Drop in. Registration not required.

From music to art making: Celebrate Japanese art and culture at this month’s Art After Dark! Enjoy J-pop provided by DJs from Glotaku throughout the night and watch exciting performances by Cincinnati Dayton Taiko Drum Group. Learn about Japanese teas and taste a variety yourself with Churchill’s Fine Teas (while supplies last). Explore Japanese art on view throughout the East Asian galleries, in the recently opened Mary W. Baskett fashion and textiles gallery, and in the Gifts from Japan special feature, highlighting paintings that recently joined CAM’s collection. Docents will be on hand to share more information and answer your questions! Plus, this night only, see additional Japanese artworks in the museum’s Carl M. Jacobs Study Center.

Join Asianati to "paint-your-own-koi!" Your artistic contributions will become part of the art installation at the Asianati Night Market during BLINK!

Don’t miss a special opportunity: experience Yayoi Kusama: All the Eternal Love I Have for the Pumpkins for FREE during Art After Dark. Tickets for these free entry times will be available at 11 a.m. the day-of, September 25, and must be reserved online in advance. Reserve yours at cincy.art/kusama.

Parking is limited. Please arrive early or consider using a rideshare service. If museum parking lots are full, consider offsite parking in Eden Park and throughout Mount Adams. CAM is accessible via Metro routes 4 and 11. Please download the Transit app to plan your trip.
