My name is Marina Garcia, I have a Fine Arts and a Digital Art degree, and I have been a docent at the Cincinnati Art Museum for about one year.

I’m very passionate about art, and I believe we can understand universal history and different kinds of cultures and ethnicity through art. I believe that if we look at the world through exquisite, and powerful works of art, it makes us more thoughtful and well-rounded humans and it allow us to be creative and express ourselves in a better way.

Just imagine a world without art! No music, images or dancing! How would we communicate with each other from our inner most sensitive parts?

Here at the Cincinnati Art Museum, we want to talk about art and share our great collection with you “in Spanish”. We have one hour Spanish tours scheduled for Family First Saturdays until the end of the school year.  Each month we will be exploring different themes!

Spanish Tour Dates:

• March 7 at 12 p.m.
• April 4 at 12 p.m.
• May 2 at 12 p.m.

We welcome people whose Spanish is their mother tongue, and also Spanish language learners that would like to practice by taking a Spanish immersion tour.
For self-guided tours we have other resources available for Spanish speakers like the Family Focus Guides and Floor plans.

Mi nombre es Marina Garcia Gámez,  soy docente en el Museo de Arte de Cincinnati. He estado trabajando aquí por aproximadamente un año, tengo una licenciatura en Bellas Artes y una especialización en Arte Digital .

¡Imaginen un mundo sin arte!¡ En el que no hubiera música, poesía, escultura, pintura, o baile!

¿Cómo podríamos decir lo que sentimos y hablar nuestros puntos de vista de una manera sensible para comunicarnos entre sí? Creo sinceramente que:

El arte nos ayuda a entender más claramente la naturaleza humana y el entorno que nos rodea.

Las obras de arte; pinturas, esculturas, monumentos etc. son una muy buena herramienta para conocer las diferentes culturas y etnias que existen en la tierra así como su historia.

El arte nos convierte en seres humanos más reflexivos y equilibrados, nos permite ser creativos y expresarnos de una manera mejor.

Aquí en el Museo de arte de Cincinnati, nos gusta hablar de arte, mostrando nuestras colecciones de pinturas, esculturas, arte decorativo, diseño de moda, fotografía entre otras. Damos tours en español abordando diferentes temas, los primeros sábados de cada mes, en las fechas siguientes;  7 de marzo, 4 de abril y 2 de mayo a las 12 p.m.

Los invitamos a venir al museo para tomar nuestros tours, ya sea para practicar español mientras hablamos de arte o simplemente para disfrutar de un ambiente agradable. Para aquellos que prefieran explorar el museo por si mismos contamos con guías y mapas en español.
