Next week from Monday June 15 through Friday June 19 from 9-4 is CAM’s first week of Summer Camp. For each of the 8 weeks of Summer Camp, we’ll provide a sneak peek into one project campers will be creating! Check our blog for weekly updates!
Our first week at art camp, “Color Craze” dives into the world of color! We will explore color with many exciting and unusual materials. Featured in this video is a project called “Poured Paintings,” which involves using paint in a most unusual and fun way. Kids will see how colors flow, mix and blend while pouring paint over a pyramid of shapes leaving an incredible 3-D painting to take home.
Materials:
-At least three colors of acrylic paint (the more the merrier!) thinned to a syrup consistency-Dixie cups for pouring paint
-Tray lined with disposable paper or tin foil
-Two boxes of different sizes, stacked and glued to form a tiered structure
-Cardboard base
-Hot glue gun with glue sticks
Don’t miss out on the Color Craze! Grab your paint palettes and take a ride through the rainbow as we explore a world of kaleidoscopic fun! Register by calling 513.721.ARTS. Summer Camp is designed for ages 6 – 12. Prices: Members: $175 (per child/week); General public: $225 (per child/week); Before Care: $6/day; After Care: $10/day
