The Cincinnati Art Museum is gearing up for its annual 10x10 Teen Art Expo, created by and for teens in grades 7–12. Nearly 300 young artists from across the region responded to this year’s challenge: create a 10-by-10-inch artwork inspired by the theme “Connection.” From friendships and family bonds to ties with nature and community, the submitted pieces express the many ways the artists feel linked to the world around them. More than 100 artworks were selected for display in the Marek Family Commons.

The expo’s theme was selected by a group of more than 20 dedicated 10x10 Teen Volunteers. Over the course of six months, they worked together to vote on artwork submissions and plan the opening party. Volunteers also had the opportunity to explore behind-the-scenes areas of the museum and learn from museum professionals about event planning, marketing, and installation.

To celebrate the artists behind the exhibition, the museum will host the 10x10 Teen Art Expo Opening Party on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 1–3 p.m. in the Marek Family Commons. Planned by the 10x10 Teen Volunteers, the event invites guests to drop in for an afternoon of art-making activities, a photo booth, button making, and more. Adding an extra layer of fun, this year’s celebration includes a Dynamic Duos costume contest. Guests are encouraged to team up with a partner and show off their creativity.

Selected artworks will be on view during museum open hours from April 14–19, 2026. All entries will be displayed on a digital screen.

We hope you can join us for the expo and opening party! If you can’t make it in person, please enjoy this selection of featured entries. If you’d like to browse all entries, check out this video.
