The Cincinnati Art Museum shares in the heartbreak felt worldwide by the news of Yayoi Kusama’s passing.

In a career that spanned more than seven decades, she forged an incomparable artistic practice, which included painting, performance, film, fashion, sculptural installations, her trailblazing infinity mirror rooms, and more. Her contributions to contemporary art provided healing and joy. We are indebted to her for so generously sharing her gifts with the world.

Yayoi Kusama was an artistic and life inspiration. She will be deeply missed.
