This week textile conservation made a “bedtime blanket” for the mummy on display in the new Antiquities and Classical Art gallery. How do you tuck a mummy in for bed? And why? He doesn’t require a bedtime story or a cup of tea, but he does get this blanket to protect him from the light when he isn’t on display. Come see him when he’s “awake” in the newly-remodeled gallery (G102) outside the Rosenthal Education Center!
