Now, the tables are turned— work by the artists behind the scenes will grace the galleries of the Cincinnati Art Museum’s upcoming exhibition CAMaraderie: Artists of the Cincinnati Art Museum on view November 8, 2024–January 5, 2025.

The exhibition, free to the public, will spotlight approximately 70 dynamic works created by nearly 40 employees across the museum, representing curatorial, conservation, learning and interpretation, exhibitions, marketing, registration, security and visitor services.  An array of materials in use result in a multi-media exhibition including paintings, sculptures, textiles, photography and digital media.

Two leaders in the local arts community, Dennis Harrington, former Director of Weston Art Gallery, and Anissa Lewis, Director of Wave Pool, came together to select the artwork through an anonymous submission process. Harrington also served as a juror for Employed: A Staff Exhibition presented at the museum in 2016.

“I am thrilled to see the outstanding talents of the creators on our CAM staff light up the galleries of the museum. Cincinnati Art Museum has long been a home for artists and the exhibition and residencies give an even greater insight into who makes the art museum come to life every day,” said Cameron Kitchin, Louis and Louise Dieterle Nippert Director.
