For more than three decades, Shahzia Sikander (b. 1969, Pakistani-American) has animated South Asian visual histories through a contemporary feminist perspective. Her influential work in video, mosaic, glass, and painting reimagines the past for our present moment, proposing new possibilities for the future. Collective Behavior brings together more than 80 works and premiered at 2024's La Biennale di Venezia.
Members are invited to view Shahzia Sikander: Collective Behavior before the exhibition opens to the public. Enjoy snacks and a cash bar in our Great Hall. When you arrive, please check-in at the Visitors Services desk. Learn more about Collective Behavior.
