The Potluck is ready to serve! The conservation blog on June 3, 2021 featured this art quilt by Jane Burch Cochran which had a silk edge badly faded by light. Now treatment is complete with the dyed-to-match overlay stitched on top of the original, faded silk edge. Scroll back and forth to see how the color of the edge impacts your viewing of this object from the faded, greyish edge to the bright, original color the artist intended, brought back to life in the conservation “kitchen.”
