Adventures of the Mind: New Trends in Czechoslovak Graphic Art (1970) and Ricercari in Omaggio (1972) are two important portfolios sold in the West that gave Czechoslovakian printmakers exposure beyond the Iron Curtain. The artists’ prints span a wide variety of themes from subjects with historical, literary and musical references to fantastic depictions with surrealist overtones.
