Since our “Behind the Scenes in Conservation” posts have been so popular on social media, we’ve decided to give them more room to shine (and analyze and treat and conserve)! Each week, our conservation team highlights a project from one of their four specialty areas (paper, objects, textile or paintings conservation), giving you an exclusive look into the lab.
Behind the Scenes in Conservation: A sneak peek from our textiles conservator! We’re getting ready for The Total Look: The Creative Collaboration Between Rudi Gernreich, Peggy Moffitt and William Claxton opening on February 28, 2015. These zebra-printed pony fur gloves are just a part of an ensemble that’s in the show. Be sure to come by during the run of the exhibition Feb. 28 – May 24, 2015 to see the full head-to-toe outfit!
