The summer heat is back, and it’s not always easy to be outdoors when Cincinnati weather won’t cooperate! The Rosenthal Education Center is open and ready for art-making fun all summer long for the whole family. Here are some ways to beat the rainy/humid season:
REC Reads
This fun and interactive 45-minute program gets your little ones excited about art in a fun and interactive way. Join us every first and third Wednesday of the month for a fun-filled story time. From June until the end of August, REC Reads will offer gallery scavenger hunts in place of art making due to higher attendance. Toddlers and preschoolers. 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m. Free.
RECreate
On the second Sunday of each month during You and Me and the Space Between: Our Expedition Starts Now, drop by the REC and meet REC Artist in Residence Karen Saunders and create a special work of art to take home. All ages. 1–3 p.m. Free.
The Rosenthal Education Center is open during the museum’s regular operating hours. No reservations required. Admission is free.
The Cincinnati Art Museum is supported by the generosity of tens of thousands of contributors to the ArtsWave Community Campaign, the region's primary source for arts funding.
Free general admission to the Cincinnati Art Museum is made possible by a gift from the Rosenthal Family Foundation. Exhibition pricing may vary. Parking at the Cincinnati Art Museum is free.
Generous support for our extended Thursday hours is provided by Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All program.
