First things first, allow me to introduce myself! I am Daniela Nenova, and I am the new Community Engagement Assistant with a focus on diverse communities here at the Cincinnati Art Museum! Thank you so much to fellow staff for welcoming me so warmly as I officially hit my first-month-of-work mark (and cheers to finally not getting lost in the building!)

Art Climb was busy on Saturday, September 6, 2025, during the recurring Art on the Rise program. With help from local partners and artists, CAM and the Community Engagement team provided a fun, interactive day of art activities to prepare families for the new school year. The setup started early in the morning, accompanied by light rain as staff and volunteers helped put together the outdoor space, while artists began working on their interactive installations.

Luckily, the rain stopped, and we all enjoyed the bonus of sunny skies and a light breeze for the entire event, courtesy of Mother Nature.

Activities ranged from writing affirmations and weaving fabric along the railings to learning about butterfly migration (thank you, Queen City Pollinator Project) and getting groovy with DANCEFIX. Personally, seeing so many people involved in supporting a community event is what makes days like this so special—the true meaning of Community! Art on the Rise is a free family event for all, so consider this your formal invitation to come check out the next one—happening on Saturday, October 2nd!
