If the grounds are blooming, and the bees are buzzing, then spring has arrived here at the Cincinnati Art Museum!
CAM has actively supported the symbiotic relationship between plants and pollinators since 2021 when we first partnered with the Queen City Pollinator Project (QCPP) to house two beehives on our campus. You can find the hives on the slope overlooking the downtown skyline near our pollinator garden.
Carrie Driehaus, co-founder of the QCCP, recently paid a visit to the museum to check on our pollinating friends. She’s happy to report they are doing well and producing honey—as shown in the photo below. (Carrie took this photo herself, capturing the moment in our actual hives.)
Want to join the partnership? Adopt a bee! Each gift of $5 provides you with an adopted honeybee in CAM’s pollinator garden. You can even name your bee, and with a gift of $15, your named bee could be highlighted as Bee-of-the-Month on our social media platforms.
When you give, you are not only supporting the museum but also the surrounding grounds, which in turn helps preserve and enhance our environment for pollinators and humans alike.
The Cincinnati Art Museum is supported by the generosity of tens of thousands of contributors to the ArtsWave Community Campaign, the region's primary source for arts funding.
Free general admission to the Cincinnati Art Museum is made possible by a gift from the Rosenthal Family Foundation. Exhibition pricing may vary. Parking at the Cincinnati Art Museum is free.
Generous support for our extended Thursday hours is provided by Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All program.
