CAM Kids Day: Superpowered

Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. 

Launch into a superpowered day of art and fun at this CAM Kids Day inspired by the exhibition What, Me Worry? The Art and Humor of MAD Magazine. Join in on a superhero-themed performance from Peanut Butter & Jam, try your hand at improv with Ensemble Theatre, or tell a joke at a kid’s open mic. Make a comic with SOS ART, create a puppet with Visionaries + Voices, get a five-minute portrait from illustrator Julia Lipovsky, and more! 

Drop-in activities include:      

  • 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Create a superhero wearable in the Koetters Family Classroom 
  • 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Tell a joke at the kid’s open mic in Gallery 151 
  • 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Make art with Happen, Inc. in the Great Hall 
  • 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Explore and create comics with SOS ART in the Great Hall 
  • noon–1 p.m. Enjoy an interactive, superhero-themed musical performance from Peanut Butter & Jam in the Marek-Weaver Family Commons   
  • 1–1:45 p.m. Family-friendly docent-led tour with American Sign Language interpretation by Ghostlight Artistic Interpreting 
  • 1–2 p.m. Hear superhero-themed and classical music from Cincinnati Music Village in Gallery 126 
  • 1–3 p.m. Play kid-friendly improv games with Ensemble Theatre in the Marek-Weaver Family Commons   
  • 1–3 p.m. Get a caricature portrait drawn by local artist and illustrator Julia Lipovsky in the Great Hall 
  • 1–3 p.m. Make puppets with Visionaries + Voices in the Great Hall 

 

Registered activities include:   

  • 10–10:40 a.m. Members-Only Baby Tours for ages 0–2 
  • 11 a.m.–noon Family Storytime and Gallery Walk for preschoolers
