Cindependent and Cincinnati Art Museum’s Moving Images present Thrills on Wheels, an October film series guaranteed to lift your spirits and give you “pumpkin” to talk about!
The program is a fun spin on Cindependent’s COVID-response project, Reels on Wheels, a popup movie theatre bringing uplifting indie films to families via socially distanced, outdoor screenings.
Showcasing five short films—recommended for ages 8 and above—Thrills on Wheels is composed of 2018 and 2019 Cindependent Film Festival submissions featuring an array of spooky sprites, plus a premiere by local filmmaker Shay Nartker.
CAM’s presentation opens the Thrills on Wheels series; Cindependent Film Festival has partnered with multiple nonprofit organizations to take the mobile cinema to locations including Camp Washington (CampSITE Sculpture Park), Findlay Park (Cincinnati Recreation Commission), Northside (NEST), Hamilton (Fitton Center for the Creative Arts), and Price Hill (Price Hill Will).
Ticketed reservations for the one-hour screening blocks can be made online at CindependentFilmFest.org. Screenings will be open to multiple households at a time, with social distancing markers set up for safe seating. Guests should bring their own chairs and wear masks when arriving.
FREE. Reservations required via cindependentfilmfest.org
