The Cincinnati Art Museum’s new Marek Weaver Family Commons has quickly become an essential addition to our programming. Students now have a dedicated area for school lunches, allowing for more flexible and immersive field trip experiences.

Beyond student programs, the Commons has welcomed teachers for Evenings for Educators, providing a space for professional development and collaboration. One of the most exciting recent events was the Flash Canvases program on January 18, where 50 participants received tattoos inspired by the museum’s collection—selling out in less than 15 minutes! The new Koetters and Eckerle classrooms are also bringing hands-on art making to life. These spaces are already home to our workshops and will soon host a combined art-making and tour program in the next school year. The Marek Weaver Family Commons is more than just a space—it’s a hub for creativity, learning, and community connection. We can’t wait to see you here!
