Cincinnati Art Museum Announces Board Officers and New Trustees for 2024–2025

CINCINNATI — October 23, 2024 — The Cincinnati Art Museum (CAM) is pleased to announce its Board Officers and election of new Trustees for the 2024–25 fiscal year (September 1, 2024 – August 31, 2025).

Continuing in their Officer roles are Chair Rance Duke, Fort Washington Investment Advisors, Inc. (retired); President Bruce Petrie, Jr., Senior Counselor at Bricker Graydon; Vice President Andrew B. Quinn, ILSCO Corporation (retired); Treasurer Susan Kelley-Fernandez, investment property manager and active community volunteer; and Secretary Eric Kearney, President and CEO of the Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky African American Chamber of Commerce and former Ohio state senator. 

Five new Trustees will serve their first term from 2024–2027: Hesham Tohamy Abd El Hak, Tracy Hartmann, Jackie Reau, Cheryl Rose and Christine Schiff. Lauren Hannan Shafer, who joined the Board of Trustees last year, begins her first full year as a Trustee.

Hesham Tohamy Abd El Hak is president of P&G’s Feminine Care business, serving consumers in nearly 120 countries. Abd El Hak’s international career has spanned across four business units at P&G, including Fabric & Home Care, Beauty, Feminine Care, and Baby products. He has held leadership positions in five regions–Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific, China and North America–and has been recognized as a transformational mover and shaker, strategic visionary and game-changing brand builder.

Tracy Hartmann is a member of the Cincinnati Town and Country Garden Club, where she has held several leadership roles. Hartmann is an active and impactful member of CAM, co-chairing galas in 2016, 2018 and 2024. She previously owned, operated, and served as the primary buyer for Alligator Purse, a local women’s clothing boutique. Additionally, Hartmann served on the CISE Board for two years.

Jackie Reau is the CEO of Game Day Communications, a media and marketing agency she co-founded in 2002 with former ESPN anchor Betsy Ross. Prior to Game Day, Reau worked at Christ Hospital in public relations and at CAM as Director of Marketing. In April 2022, Reau founded the Cincinnati Fear, Cincinnati’s first professional esports team, and serves as President of the organization. She currently serves on multiple boards in the community including FlyWheel, Mt. Saint Joseph University, Ohio University Foundation Board and YWCA of Greater Cincinnati.

Cheryl Rose is rejoining CAM’s Board of Trustees, having previously served from 2012–2021. Rose is a Partner with Constellation Wealth Advisors and is an active volunteer for community organizations including Cincinnati Preschool Promise, Groundwork Ohio, the Government Relations Executive Committee for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber and CAM. She previously held senior leadership roles in investment and wealth management at PNC Bank and Fifth Third Bank. Rose is a CFA charterholder, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, 21/64 Certified Advisor and graduate of Leadership Cincinnati Class 36.

Christine Schiff is Vice President of the Arts Alliance at Cincinnati Country Day School and a longtime art enthusiast. She is the author of numerous short stories, essays and two novels. The New York City native was a member of The Writers Room in Manhattan until her move to Cincinnati in 2002. Schiff previously served on the Board of the Ohio Justice & Policy Center and volunteered for Cincinnati Observatory and Women Writing for (a) Change. From 2013 to 2023, she served the Saltaire Volunteer Company in the Village of Saltaire on Fire Island as an EMS provider during the summer months.

Lauren Hannan Shafer is Board Chair of ArtWorks, a position she has held since 2015. Notably, she served as its interim CEO in 2021. Shafer also serves on the Board of ArtsWave and is active in Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park’s Leading Ladies and the Cincinnati Ballet’s Etoile. Shafer granted the first wish and was the first Board member for the Cincinnati Make-a-Wish Ohio. The 2017 Cincinnati Enquirer Woman of the Year served for 10+ years as co-chair of Cincinnati Youth Collaborative’s Saturday Hoops.
