CINCINNATI— Cincinnati Art Museum’s last Art After Dark of 2018 will be celebrated on one of the biggest party nights of the year.

At the Cincinnati Art Museum’s FREE night-before-Thanksgiving celebration Art After Dark: Confess Yourself, visitors can explore identity and the masks we wear on Wednesday, November 21, 5–9 p.m.

Art After Dark guests will enjoy live performances from DJ Mowgli, Black Signal, and Pones, food for purchase from Eli’s BBQ, specialty cocktails, docent-led tours and free access to the special exhibitions The Fabric of India and Life: Gillian Wearing.

Confess Yourself celebrates special exhibition Life: Gillian Wearing, on view through December 30. Wearing’s photographs and videos illuminate unspoken dimensions of our most common relationships and acts, shedding light on the ways we expose or conceal interior thoughts and desires. The exhibition includes a concise selection of the artist’s iconic lens-based works along with several new projects receiving their world premiere in Cincinnati.

The timeline for Art After Dark includes:

• 5–6 p.m.: Happy hour on beer, wine and specialty cocktails (21+ only).
• 5–6:30 p.m.: Live music from DJ Mowgli in the Great Hall.
• 6–8 p.m.: Live performances from Pones in the Great Hall.
• 7–8:30 p.m.: Live music from Black Signal in the Great Hall.
• 5–9 p.m.: Food available for purchase from Eli’s BBQ outside the Terrace Café. While supplies last.
• 6, 6:30, 7, 7:30, 8 and 8:30 p.m.: Docent-guided tours of Life: Gillian Wearing. Meet in the Front Lobby.
• 5–9 p.m.: Guests may complete a survey for chance to win a date-night gift package, including a $25 gift card to Urban Stead Cheese, a bottle of wine, and two tickets to Holiday Junction at the Cincinnati Museum Center. Must be 21+ to win.

In 2019, the first Art After Dark event will be on January 25 and will continue on the final Friday of each month through October.
