This month, we’re celebrating the incredible creative contributions of Black artists! Join hands-on art-making activities led by local artists Ryan Leary and Visionaries + Voices, enjoy a lunchtime dance performance from Heroes Rise, and drop-in on Storytime with the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library. Explore artwork made by Black artists with a scavenger hunt in the galleries, then make your own art based on what you see!
Drop-in activities include:
11 a.m.–3 p.m. Age specific scavenger hunts available at the front desk
11 a.m.–3 p.m. Multisensory activity in the Great Hall
11 a.m.–3 p.m. Make art with local painter Ryan Leary in the Schmiddlapp Gallery (G151)
11 a.m.–3 p.m. Make artwork inspired by CAM’s collection in the Koetters Family Classroom
11 a.m.–3 p.m. Enjoy mixed media art making in the Rosenthal Education Center (REC)
Noon–1 p.m. Family-friendly performance from Heroes Rise in the Marek-Weaver Family Commons
Noon–1 p.m. Drop in Storytime with the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library in Gallery 126
1 p.m.–3 p.m. Make art with Visionaries + Voices in the Great Hall
Registered activities include:
10–11 a.m. Art Together for preschoolers in the Eckerle Classroom
10–10:40 a.m. Members-Only Baby Tours for ages 0–2
11 a.m.–noon Family Storytime and Gallery Walk for preschoolers
2–3 p.m. Family Studio for ages 6–12 in the Eckerle Classroom
