CINCINNATI— Raise your glass to the art, food and culture of the Queen City at the Cincinnati Art Museum’s free evening event Art After Dark: We Built this City, Friday, February 22, 5–9 p.m.
We Built this City celebrates the opening of Art Academy of Cincinnati at 150: A Celebration in Drawings and Prints with live music by Art Academy alumni band Heavy Hinges, food for purchase from Camp Washing Chili and salads for purchase from Dewey’s Pizza, specialty cocktails, docent-led tours with Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and star gazing with Cincinnati Observatory.
Special exhibition Art Academy of Cincinnati at 150 delves into the history and legacy of one of the most esteemed art schools in the Midwest. Selected from the art museum’s permanent collection, 90 masterful artworks by alumni and faculty of the Academy are featured, including works by Frank Duveneck, Elizabeth Nourse, Charley Harper, Tom Wesselmann and others.
